I love War movies! Every Memorial Day weekend we spend some time watching these classic films and recounts of Honor and Duty and Sacrifice!

My list of favorites has about at least 50 that are my all time favorites, or maybe 100 are my all time favorites.

In the last two years, my family has buried three heroes from World War II, and we and this nation are poorer for the loss of those valiant men who when they were young all volunteered to fight and preserve freedom.

The first hero to die, was my father- in-law, a quiet gentle man who was a jeweler and who could repair almost any watch, a trade he learned in college, on his GI Bill. Poppa as the kids called him never spoke of his bravery or the wound that nearly killed him and earned him his purple heart at the Battle of the Bulge. His brother-in-law passed long before I met my husband who was in the Bataan Death March. I have been told he never mentioned is torment or trials much either.

My father, my first and forever hero, died a few months later. He was lucky, he was never wounded. In World War II he was in the 82nd Airborne, and he too, never discussed jumping out of gliders into the dark of night, or what he witnessed. My father retired from the United States Army Band, and when I was a teen frequently played Taps at Arlington Memorial Cemetery and I watched as he played Taps at the Tomb of the Unknowns on Memorial Day twice, and I was so proud.

My Uncle, died just this month, was on the USN Thornton at Pearl Harbor on the day of infamy, and he only mentioned it a few times. While looking for information about the USN Thornton, where his entire tour of duty was spent during the war, I was surprised to learn that the Thornton was also at the battle of Midway, and at Guadalcanal. He too retired from the United States Navy.

These men never were anything but proud of serving their country, and I am so grateful to have have them as part of my life, and I will treasure the legacy of Honor, Duty, Country, Family that all these wise kind and gentle men displayed throughout their lives.

Join me in a remembrance of those brave men, and those in your family, in my resolve that they had not died in vain.

Slip Sliding and Side Stepping Sestak

This nasty peice of dirty laundry and law breaking has been mentioned in the press since early February.

For the past three days I have read endless articles, 23 to be precise regarding the job (still a secret) offered to former Admiral and current Congressman, Joe Sestak.

What precisely was this effort to protect Obama's initial filibuster blocker Arlen Spector? Was it an effort prevent his loss in a troubled run to be the winner in the Democratic Pennsylvania Democratic Primary, to protect Spector from his loss this month?

One can rationally surmise that Spector switched parties to gain Democratic backing after the election of 2008, as he felt certain his seat as a Republican was in jeopardy. However no one is discussing this driving factor, the protection of the Spector and gift for his party jumping athletics in 2009.

I need a shower, my waders have become smeared with more sludge that can be found at a sludge plant. This reeks of Chicago style politics, and it really smells. Even the mainstream media has picked up the scent.

Sestak's mercurial statement that he was offered a job to not run for the US Senate seat against Arlen Specter, in the Democratic Primary seat in the Senate, falls flat in the honesty gut check column. His efforts to look like a hero are empty, and ring less than true, with out the full story, which not only Pennsylvania but all Americans have a right to know.

Who in the Whitehouse made this offer? What was the position? Even more importantly would this be a position that was made as an offer at the behest of the President of the United States?

This is dirty Chicago politics at its worse. Defenders of the Democrats say, both parties do this, and what is worse paying off debts, and that this is a common practice. This sort of apology for anarchy committed by both parties in the Federal Government needs to stop.

Republicans are hamstrung to really push this issue, as they lack sufficient numbers to mount a real effective demand with teeth to call for the Department of Justice to call a Special Prosecutor, or even initiate hearings. This little tidbit has been out there brewing since February. Sestak has taken the path of least resistance hoping to land near but not in this can of fish.

Gibbs, Press officer to the President has obsfucasted to the point of ridiculousness. The MSM until this week remained compliant, but all reporters in their own self interest have suddenly become Bernstein and Woodward. Even the New York Times and Washington Post.

I agree, there is no "if in ethics." Both Sestak and the Whitehouse have an obligation to come clean with the American public.

The stench of this is really bad. Sestak has placed himself in a corner, and this administration will happily throw him under the bus. If Sestak had the true ethical center he claims, he would come clean instead of waiting for some exonerating condition that helps him to excuse his part of this offer. He should have immediately left the Whitehouse and made a statement to the press, this is what a man of honor would have done.

It is unlikely that Rham will fall on a sword for the President or his personal very shifty, Bauer Chief Council to the President.

Today, in his first press conference in 309 days, the last question was by Major Garret about the Sestak offer, and the 44th in yet more obsfucation said soon the Whitehouse would be releasing a statement regarding the incident. At his press conference President Obama made this claim, which is nearly the same in my estimation of 'trust me this won't hurt.' I am certain in this really shady deal somehow his aides and administration will find some way some justification to blame Bush, Cheney and former Democratic Gov. American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Endorses Outrageous Procedure



Dhimmitude is alive and well in the United States.



One has to wonder if this practice now endorsed by the AAP will bring the weak sister feminist out in protest?

The underground practice of altering or removing the female genital organs is common in some African, Asian, and/or Islamic countries such as Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, and Mali. Actually, the procedure is prohibited in Africa, "in order to eradicate" the practice. The African Protocol on the Rights of Women prohibits "in all states" all forms of "female genital mutilation, scarification, medicalisation and para-medicalisation in order to eradicate
them..."

And it goes onto say, "...The supposedly intelligent physicians in the AAP are endorsing a policy for a brutal, sexist, non-medical procedure that is universally condemned. Their own 1998 statement recognized FGM as a human rights violation, and they opposed "perpetuating a social practice with cultural implications for the status of women." Today, however, AAP members are more enlightened; they no longer use the acronym, FGM, choosing instead to recommend "female genital cutting (FGC) or ritual genital cutting." These terms are meant to be "neutral" and "descriptive" rather than culturally insensitive. Ironically, they oppose only those forms of FGM which "pose the risk of physical or psychological harm" -- as if ritual "nicks" have no such risks. One writer described the "harm reduction" as similar to "the difference between amputation and laceration..."

I wonder how the great appeaser Obama would feel about this practice, or the First Ladies view of this inhumane practice, and that it happens quietly in America to young defenseless little girls. If you will recall he was supportive of his 'babies (daughters having abortions). Will the Department of State add this to the list of violations of Human Rights in their report to the UN?

We have clearly lost our moral compass. Any doctor that engages in this practice should lose his license. Will this provedure be covered in the Healthcare Bill?

No Lei No Lei Oh Lei Lei, Djou Wins in Hawaii!

And as the sunset over the western Pacific from Hawaii the sky was just a bit redder today!

The signs were everywhere the last few weeks, that Honolulu City Councilman Charles Djou would win a Democratic-held House seat in Hawaii in the district where President Obama grew up -- the latest triumph for the GOP as it looks to take back control of Congress.

Djou embraced the Tea Party movement and made appearances at Hawaii's tea party protests. His message was clear: Taxes are too high, the federal government has grown too large, and wasteful government spending hinders economic prosperity.

Djou received 67,274 votes, by a nine percent margin, of 39.5 percent. He was trailed by state Senate President Colleen Hanabusa, a Democrat who received 52,445 votes, or 30.8 percent. The other leading Democrat, former U.S. Rep. Ed Case, received 47,012 votes, or 27.6 percent.


Hawaii like the continental states is suffering from a huge $1 billion deficit, and Djou smartly stayed on point and his campaign focused on taxes and government spending. Hawaii's unemployment rate has nearly doubled in the last three years.and the tourism tourism-driven economy is troubled.

Hawaii has not had a Republican Congressman since 1991.

So get your coconut drinks out and roast a pig! The Democrats now have suffered a loss in the bluest state West of Massachusetts. There is no way that the talking heads can spin this into a happy moment.

It will be a challenge in the fall for Djou to hold this seat, but for now, we are all Hawaiians!

Sunday let us all gather around wear red leis and face to the west as we do a little hulu and say Mahalo Nui Hawaii for that sending a message that Obama is not their so favorite son!

And just like the Olympics, and Virginia, and New Jersey, and Massachusetts, Obama failed to deliver the Congressional district where his grand parents lived and he lived while he was their ward.

Senator Bob Bennet Compares Tea Party To Jimmah Carter

Bob Bennet like many others failed to listen to his constituents. And he like many in Washington, even after a defeat that should have sent him to personal reflection, does not understand this movement.

Like many in public office and in both parties, and the main stream media, our elected officials and government servants starting with President Obama and his administration think that they can continue to shove their agenda down out throats.

He seems to think that it was inappropriate for him to have suffered the consequences of his votes.

What a pathetic bitter old man. Maybe he and Arlen Specter can start a support group.

The first salvo from the man who fell from grace because like others in the Capitol who are public servants, who also did not listen to his constituents, is this:

He saw the Republican Party as a "big tent," and he successfully did what is considered political suicide today: He worked across party lines and tried to find compromise.

There's a profound lesson in this for the Tea Party movement
Guess he didn't understand the message. In January he can apply for unemployment, or maybe he will like Specter switch parties to seek re-election.

Unbelievably he goes on in his complete inability to understand this movement and our contempt for what arrogant elected officials who think that they know better that their constituents further states,

I know both very well because they were the main tools used to defeat me in Utah's Republican convention two weeks ago. They also worked in Kentucky on Tuesday. Yet when the new members of Congress whom these slogans elect in November take office, the question becomes: Will they be Carter or Reagan?

Will they stand firmly on partisan sidelines continuing to shout slogans? Or will they reach across the aisle in the interest of the country? Will they offer constructive proposals to help solve our problems?"

..."I urge all of the Tea Partyers to follow Reagan, not Carter. If they want their movement to be more than a wave that crashes on the beach and then recedes back into the ocean, leaving nothing behind but empty sand, they should stop the "gloom talk." Our economy is still the strongest and most resilient in the world. Our government is still capable of responding to the leadership of men and women who believe our problems can be solved. We must not follow the siren song of those who are in a frenzy of despair.

And it appears after some reflection to add insult to injury to one of the reddest voting blocks in America he has the unmitigated gall to compare his constituents Jimmah Cartah.

Even more the outrage this old lion refuses to take personal responsibility for the tin ear and affront to those whom he served in Utah.

We will honor Lincoln's statement and insure, "...that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

Senator Bennet you should have listened to you voters. In light of your public editorial fit, I have to say that you have received your just desserts.

Blaming others is a true sign of narcissism.

Apparently the Democrats are not the only ones to suffer from an unguided sense of entitlement.

This outrageous chastisement of voters in your state, shows just how much you deserved this serving of cold voter revenge.

We have a message for you Senator Bennet, and your fiefdom building arrogant buddies, our house cleaning is just beginning.

We are not a crazed bunch of sloganeering spoiled children, we are Americans, and we absolutely are determined to protect this Republic from this 111th Congress and an man who serves as President who finds our Founding Documents fatally flawed.

I say good riddance, and hope the door hits you firmly on your backside.

Just Say NO!

Republicans need to grow some backbone. The habit of aiding and pushing forward bad legislation from the Democratic party needs to stop. Just today Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins broke the filibuster to move the Financial Reform Legislation through, and ugly invasion of personal finances whose ramifications will be disclosed only after it has passed.

There is no guarantee that McConnell can hold his minority to block the nation killing Cap and Trade Legislation.

The Health Care bill would have never made it to the Senate floor without the help of a Single Republican Senator.



Cap and Trade would not have passed the house with out the aid of 8 Republican Congressmen who signed on to that fabricated Nation breaking nonsense.


We can blame the Democratic Congress all that we want, but it is just whistling in the dark as there is always some one from the right side of the aisle who will perform the famous reach across the aisle maneuver, and with a the 'pat on the back good buddy system' of doing business in Washington D.C. reach and pat their pals back and be enablers complicit in these dirty deeds.

Every Republican that voted for not just these bills, but add TARP, the Stimulus, the GM and Chrylser Bailouts and the gangs of 6, 8, 12 and 14, to this list would fall into that category.

Already it is sounding as if Elena Kagan, who by the way helped to bury Obama's scholastic records, will sail through the Senate.

Our elected officials would be wise to pay attention to the growing level of contempt that the average American voter has for them and their job performance, and this is more than evident in this recent poll from Gallup,

Why the Republicans in the 111th Congress and Session of Senate have not barricaded themselves in the House and Senate and voted not just NO, but NO UNTIL HELL FREEZES OVER is beyond me.

Any Congressman/woman that voted yes for the health care bill should have to surrender their special cushy best in the world coverage and likewise receive what they are asking Americans to accept.

It it is my opinion that that the members of the Republican Delegation lack a spine.

All the good the efforts of a few Republicans in the House over the energy bill before the 2008 Elections by barricading themselves in the House and almost (only a few did this I might add) looking like Congress finally after nearly 40 years had a clue about energy, you and your 'Honorable' friends and enablers lost. While the Senate did in the end form a wall of NO they were well too late to effectively stop the Democrats from gobbling up 1/6th of the economy in a 2,000 page bill NO ONE READ.

The Republican Delegation has sure rolled over and played dead since then. Graham even had enough gall to co-sponsor a Cap and Trade bill with John Kerry and Joe Lieberman, despite common knowledge that the science behind this lie was cooked. And the whole idea is the largest fraud and scam in World History.

My advice to our Republican elected officials ...grow a backbone or find yourselves out of a job.

The Black Panther Hole In the Department of Justice



On April 23, 2010 the U.S. Civil Rights Commission Dismissed the Charges Of Voter Intimidation Case Against Members Of New Black Panther Party.


These charges stemmed from an event on election day in November 4, 2008, as stated in charges drawn by The U.S. Justice Department, which filed a lawsuit under the Voting Rights Act against the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPPSD) and three of its members alleging the defendants intimidated Philadelphia voters during the Nov. 4 general election.

The suit alleged that on Election Day two New Black Panther Party Members, (NBPPSD) members Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were stationed at the entrance to a polling location at 1221 Fairmount Ave., wearing the uniform of the organization. It also states Mr. Shabazz repeatedly brandished a “police-style baton weapon.”

The NBPPSD was designated an active black supremacist hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). At the time the incident occurred, Lovida Coleman, a lawyer for the McCain campaign’s Honest and Open Election Committee, was told by one of the men that he was a “committee person for the 14th Ward, 4th Division.” She was also told that the two men “were members of the Philadelphia Democratic Party and they were authorized to be there.”

The complaint said that NBPPSD Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz confirmed that the placement of Messrs. Shabazz and Jackson was part of a nationwide effort to deploy NBPPSD members at polling locations on Election Day. But this conflicts with a contemporaneous statement the NBPPSD posted on its Web site that the actions of the two individuals were not endorsed by the organization.

..."Eric Holder has stonewalled Congress, the Civil Rights Commission, and the American people regarding the inexplicable order that political appointees at Justice gave last year to drop the slam dunk winning case against the New Black Panther party.

Members of the group were caught on tape clearly intimidating white voters at a Philadelphia polling place. A summary judgment followed but before sentencing, Justice dropped the case. When some Republican senators asked why, Holder refused to comply with requests for an explanation. Even a US Civil Rights Commission subpoena couldn't get Holder to supply them with a reason why he dropped a case that Justice had already won.

Now it appears that someone is going to talk. And what he has to say will no doubt
prove very interesting to Congress..."

and this,..."I expect executive privilege will play a role somewhere down the road. This can of worms is so toxic I doubt whether Obama wants it spilled all over the national media. The political interference in this case is so dramatic and so obvious that exposing it would probably mean curtains for Holder."

The You Tube of the incident went viral, and most level headed citizens could clearly tell that the intent was one of Voter Intimidation. Why Eric Holder and the Whitehouse have chosen to stonewall this issue and the requests of Congress, is beyond comprehension and any attempts to get to the bottom of why the Department of Justice and the Voting Rights Commission dismissed the case will likely have some Executive Privilege dog and pony rap song to explain away this interference at the polls.

In researching this article I discovered that the Black Panthers had many polling places manned by their America hating members. We can and should expect this this coming fall during the General Elections.

President Obama should be demanding answers, but I guess this is yet another example of 'social justice'. And some more Hope and Change for us to swallow.

What ever it is it reeks, and Holder should be immediately terminated.

Pink Slip Tuesday Open Season


Pink Slips, today is yet another salvo in the open season for betrayers of the Public trust.

Senator DeMint, who endorsed Paul, calls his victory "part of an American awakening that is taking place across the country. The Washington establishment threw everything they had at him and yet he prevailed."

Specter also went down in defeat.
Lincoln has been forced into a runoff on June 8th.

Out with the old and in with the new is what voters have in mind today, and their list of grievances is long for the 111th Congress who have failed miserably.

The message from Voters today to this pack of usurpers and those elected officials who would undermine of our founding documents, is NO MORE !

YOUR FIRED!

Voters have had enough!

Enough of elected officials, who think that they can avoid listening to what we, your constituents have to say.

Who do you think you are? And do you know who your boss is? It is us, American voters, and we are not happy with your performance.

This pack of 535 Representatives in Washington and the President and Vice President have been bought and sold, and I am not sure who has their 'ear' but it is obvious it is not the American taxpayer.

The Congress and Senate seem to think that it is somehow OK to continue to vote for legislation based on lies that they have not read, for bills that will forever alter this great Republic. These bills will also create a permanent caste system, and cripple the American economy. Their actions will cause the prices of everything to be increased for the voting public.

Do our elected officials in the Congress and the Senate and our appointed officials, really think for a moment the voter's are buying his dog and pony show?

That 'E' ride at their favorite theme park the American taxpayers piggy bank is soon to coming to an end, WE, the people, want our government back.

Starting with the Democratic Party and then various Republicans foolish enough (members of gangs of 6, 8 12, 14) that want to enable, tinker with, compromise and reach across the aisle for TARP, the Stimulus, GM and Chrysler buy outs, Health-care, Cap & Trade, Card Check, Illegal Immigration, Foreign Policy, you name it, the process for replacing ALL 535 arrogant men and women have forgotten who they work for has begun and they will soon receive their unemployment notices.

Some, like Bennet in Utah got an immediate notice, and for others their pink slips will be in their hands in 2010, the others will get their pink slips in 2012, and the remainder in 2014.

Our 'house' cleaning has just begun.

We will continue the re-hiring process until these usurpers understand who is their boss.

Maybe I am sensitive about the disaster in Tennessee due to the plight and hardship all of her citizens face because I am from Texas and were it not for Tennessee, Texas would likely be a part of Mexico.

It took the Whitehouse 4 days to respond with a brief 129 word message that could have easily been cranked out by any of the President’s speechwriters on Saturday when things in Nashville went from bad to worse.

Whatever was at the base of his delay, if there had been a 9th Ward, or barrio or an audience to take advantage of, his response would have been sooner. Bush was castigated for waiting 2 days to go to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

To quote The One himself,
"let me be clear: Tennessee seems to be handling this disaster quite well. This
is not a call for Federal aid to rush in and start to screw things up - it’s the
symbolism attached to knowing the President of your country is aware of what
your state is going through.”

His Defenders will say his priority was on the crises caused by the bomb that did not go off left in Times Square by a ‘man called disaster’, but it was a Vietnam vet and another street vendor that alerted the New York Police Department that thwarted what would have been a huge disaster.

Meanwhile 12 days, after the fire that started on April 21st, which caused the collapse of BP’s Deep Horizon Oil Platform, and a massive oil spill, Obama managed a photo op, and a nationally televised speech to the Gulf on Sunday, May 2nd. (I will spare you the link).

Finally, today, May 5th, as the water continues to recede his administration has declared 4 counties a disaster area, while in reality 52 of 55 counties in the state of Tennessee were flooded.

Today - Let The Pipeline Begin, The Big Red Tsunami Is Rolling In




Today marks the real start of The Big Red Tsunami, Primary Season. In 35 days we will have the results of 25 Primary elections in States from nearly every region. And the preliminary salvos will be fired in North Carolina, Ohio and Indiana, bright and early.

Democrat's Titanic Syndrome and The Rising Red Tsunami


Too Big to Fail! ‘Unsinkable’

Democrats are either disregarding the iceberg’s of public opinion surrounding them or thinking the Red Tsunami that is headed their way will not reach their district, or impact their seat.

Since his election, the Captain of the US Democratic Party, President Obama and his Administration have been dissmissive of and have been showing his opposition nothing but arrogance. Both the President and his Administration appear to the American public in polling data (as high as 70% in some polls) to be lost at sea in a fog of self-delusion and are defiantly tin-eared to the 'noise in the background', along with, the DNC chairman and the rest of the Democratic leadership.

It also appears that the the main-stream media in it's reporting has also ecercised either an editorial blind eye or a tin ear to what average every day working Americans are expressing. The left appears to live in Wonderland, and from their coverage it appears editorially their decisions must be based on a premise of if they can play ostrich long enough and pretend we do not exist we will go away.

NO way are we going anywhere but to vote this fall, and to Tea Parties, Town hall meetings, and visit our representatives. We are all going to watch all those rats drown in their own hubris.

This movement has a big clue for them-- we will not go quietly down with the ship. We have commandeered all the lifeboats and socialist, mad spending hidden deal making traitors and sleazy liars are doomed to a cold watery death and certain losses at the polls this coming election season.

The signs are every where, even the media is starting to demand real press conferences.

President Obama, appears to be too busy reading his own press, speeches, and accepting advice from ‘Team Obama’ and listening to his own MP3s, reading praise on CNN, CBS, while in the real world his poll numbers have cratered. Even in the polls done by those networks, and pollsters on the left the numbers are dismal.

While President Obama my think that his never ending appearances and his bully pulpit brow beating speeches suggesting Tea Partiers and those who do not support him, thank him, or that that ploy is going to help him with Independents and moderates he is wrong. If he also believes that 'Team Obama's' crisis manufacturing is going to gin up support he is also ill advised. This sort of behavior and stance from his Administration will continue to deflate his approval ratings and dampen support for his agenda and will not impress Independents or moderate American voters; as shown in this link of Right Direction, Wrong track poll from Real Clear Politics, which continues to track poorly for this administration.

President Obama and the Democratic Party are in for a very rude awakening.

Any perusal of current polling data would lead the conclusion that Ann Coulter made in her book, “If Democrats Had Any Brains The Would Be Republicans”. It is more than obvious to many right thinking Americans that the current strategy of the leadership of the Democratic Party’s agendas and policies are not in sync with the average American voter.

Ohio Primary Precusor To Fall Election



Ohio is ranked nationally as the 26Th most conservative state, and voted for Obama in 2008. Demographically Ohio is 2.69% more Republican than the national average.

There are two Democrats running for Senate in Ohio, Democrat Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher, and Jennifer Brunner. Fisher is polling well above Brunner, and will likely win the Democratic primary. Fisher is projected to to win the Democratic primary by a wide margin and will run against the Republican candidate Ron Portman who is running uncontested in the primary elections.

The race is sizing up to be Fisher-Portman match up, to fill the seat left vacant by Republican Senator Voinovich who is retiring this election cycle, and may well be the hardest seat for Republicans to hold this fall.

Ron Portman as seen in this polling data by Real Clear Politics only holds less than one percentage point lead against either Democratic primary contender and shows the wide gap between the Democratic Candidates.

Polling numbers show the challenge that Republicans will face in the fall elections. The current polling averages for Governor shows Republican Tom Kasich to be one percentage point behind incumbent Democrat Ted Strickland, and within the margin of error in the race for Governor. Real Clear Politics currently has the race for Governor rated as a toss-up.

Obama has weak approval ratings in the state of Ohio, one of the battleground states, and Independents will have a large voice in this election. Their votes will be the ones that will tip the fall elections to the winning Party.

All of the current polls reflect tight races, for the seats of Senate and Governor, and indicate they will be a challenge for Republicans to win in the fall elections. Both of the races at this point look to be a horserace to the finish. All of data at this point is reflective of the difficulty Republicans face in Ohio to not only reign in, but win conclusively barring any challenges when the election is over.

The primary elections in Ohio will be the first salvo in what appears to be a real fight to the finish line, as Real Clear Politics has called Ohio a toss-up for the fall elections.

The Republican Party, and Kasich and Portman will have their work cut out in the coming fall elections, and the Ohio primary will show where their time and effort should be spent.
