Embracing Dhimmitude DOD And Nidal Hassan

What person in their right mind would be able in the furthest stretches of reality call someone who without cause in a premeditated attack screaming Alua Akbar who shot and murdered 12 unarmed miltary personnel and 1 civilian,  and  wounding 32 others a Conscientious Objector?

Has our Department of defense succumbed to the vile practice of  political correctness found in dhimmitude, and accepted the tenants of sharia?

A Conscientious Objector as defined  "is one who on the basis of religious or moral principles refuses to bear arms or participate in military service."

It cerainly appears that once again the justice for Hasan's viticms and thier families has been brought to a slow crawl in the prosecution of Major Nidal Hasan, the lone defendant in the murderous attacks of  military and civilian innocents on November the 5th November 2009.  And it appears that the Department of Defense has given this lawbreaker a dream motive to use an insanity plea and an excuse for his actions.

According to  infromation in this article from Pajama's Media , the Department of Defense has a new policy: "A shocking decision made by the secretary of the Army last month — in the case of an U.S. Army soldier with the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell who refused to deploy to Afghanistan claiming that Islamic law prevented him from killing other Muslims — vindicates Fort Hood killer Major Nidal Hasan. He made identical claims and threatened that “adverse events” would occur if military officials didn’t accede to shariah principles."  DoD has determined that these radicalized Muslims can after the fact claim being conscientious objectors.

Nidal Hasan in no way fits this definition.

Major Nidal Hassan used a handgun known as a 'cop killer'. According to reports in Texas, he was clean shaven on the infamous day of the shooting and was screaming Alua Akbar as he fired repeatedly at unarmed personel and civilians.  He used a  FN Herstal 5.7 tactical pistol, a semi-automatic handgun, which is called a 'Cop Killer' in his infamous attack on unarmed miltary (Armed Forces personnel are forbidden to carry weapons on base (loaded or unloaded by military code for military personnel) and likewise civilian personnel at Fort Hood.  The gun was legally purchased.

Nidal Hasan was selected as a member of the transition   team for the Obama Administration, "The task force was not officially affiliated with the White House. It was a project of the Homeland Security Policy Institute, an independent thinktank housed at George Washington University, aimed at drafting policy recommendations for the incoming Obama administration team.

Further it was known that Nidal Hasan had email exchanges with known terrorist and jihadi promoter Al Alaki in Yemen "...No less worrisome is the report's account of the FBI's handling of the Hasan case. Here was an Muslim-American in the U.S. military who was in direct email contact with Yemen-based cleric Anwar al-Awlaki—someone well known in counterterrorism circles as being the intellectual godfather of previous domestic terrorism plots—but given only the most cursory of reviews by the FBI. How and why that happened is the meat of the senators' report..."

In a most unflattering special report, made by Joseph I. Lieberman, Chairman and Susan M. Collins, Ranking Members, U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs

Washington D.C. 20510, February 2011called A TICKING TIME BOMB , published February 3, 2011, said, "...Our basic conclusion is as follows: Although neither DoD nor the FBI had specific information concerning the time, place, or nature of the attack, they collectively had sufficient information to have detected Hasan's radicalization to violent Islamist extremism but failed both to understand and to act on it. Our investigation found specific and systemic failures in the government's handling of the Hasan case and raises additional concerns about what may be broader systemic issues.

Both the FB I and DoD possessed information indicating Hasan's radicalization to   violent Islamist extremism. And, to the FBI's credit, it flagged Hasan from among the chaff of intelligence collection for additional scrutiny. However, the FBI and DoD together failed to recognize and to link the information that they possessed about Hasan:

( I) Hasan was a military officer who lived under a regimented system with strict officership and security standards, standards which his behavior during his military medical training violated; and

(2) the government had [REDACTED] communications from Hasan to a suspected terrorist, [REDACTED], who was involved in anti American activities and the subject of an unrelated FBI terrorism investigation. This individual will be referred to as the "Suspected Terrorist" in this report.

Although both the public and the private signs of Hasan's radicalizat ion to violent
Islamist extremism while on active duty were known to government officials, a string of failures prevented these officials from intervening against him prior to the attack.

• Evidence of Hasan's radicalization to violent Islamist extremism was on full display to his superiors and colleagues during his military medical training. An instructor and a colleague each referred to Hasan as a "ticking time bomb." Not only was no action taken to discipline or discharge him, but also his Officer Evaluation Reports sanitized his obsession with violent Islamist extremism into praiseworthy research on counterterrorism.

• FB I Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTfFs) are units in FBI field offices that conduct
counterterrorism investigations and are staffed by FBI agents and employees from other federal, state, and local agencies. A JTTF learned that Hasan was communicating with the Suspected Terrorist, flagged Hasan's initial [REDACTED] communications for further review, and passed them to a second JTTF for an inquiry. However, the ensuing inquiry failed to identify the totality of Hasan's communications and to inform Hasan's military chain of command and Army security officials of the fact that he was communicating with a suspected violent Islamist extremist - a shocking course of conduct for a U.S. military officer. Instead, the JTTF inquiry relied on Hasan's erroneous Officer Evaluation Reports and ultimately dismissed his communications as legitimate research.

• The JTTF that had reviewed the initial [REDACTED] communications di smissed the second JTTF's work as "slim" but eventually dropped the matter rather than cause a bureaucratic confrontation. The JTTFs now even dispute the extent to which they were in contact with each other in this case. Nonetheless, the JTTFs never raised the dispute to FBI headquarters for resolution, and entities in FBI headquarters responsible for coordination among field offices never acted. As a result, the FBI's inquiry into Hasan ended prematurely.

As noted, DoD possessed compelling evidence that Hasan embraced views so extreme that it should have disciplined him or discharged him from the military, but DoD failed to take action against him. Indeed, a number of policies on commanders' authority, extremism, and personnel gave supervisors in his chain of command the authority to take such actions. It is clear from this failure that DoD lacks the institutional culture, through updated policies and training, sufficient to inform commanders and all levels of service members how to identify radicalization to violent Islamist extremism and to distinguish this ideology from the peaceful practice of Islam.

* The redactions in this report were required by the Intelligence Community pursuant to Executive Branch classificalion policies and are the result of intensive negotiations spanning three months. We take issue with the extent of these redactions, some of which we believe are unjustified, but we have consented to them in order to produce this report in a timely manner."

Here is a list of those innocent heroes, military and civilian who were going about their duties and business and whose lives were taken by Nidal Hasan on a beautiful clear fall day at Fort Hood Texas, November 5, 2009.

Michael Grant Cahill, 62, Civilian Physician Assitant, Spokane, Washington

Libardo Eduardo Caraveo, 53, Major, Woodbridge Virginia

Justin Michael DeCrow, 32, Staff Sergeant, Plymouth, Indiana

John P. Gaffaney, 56, Captain, Serra Mesa, California

Frederick Greene, 29, Mountain City, Tennessee

Jason Dean Hunt, 22, Specialist, Tipton, Oklahoma

Amy Sue Krueger, 29, Staff Sergeant, Kiel, Wisconsin

Aaron Thomas Nemelka, 19, Private First Class, West Jordan, Utah

Michael S. Pearson, 22, Private First Class, Bolingbrook, Illinois

Russell Gilbert Seager, 51, Captain, Racine, Wisconsin

Francheska Velez, 21, Pirvate First Class, Chicago, Illionis

*Was pregnant when she was shot and murdered.

Juanita L. Warman, 55, Lieutenant Colonel, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Kham See Xiong, 23, Private First Class, Saint Paul, Minnesta

32 others were wounded.

Will the families and loved ones and commrades in arms of the deceased and 32 wounded be waiting for justice like those of the USS Cole for 10 years?

From my perspective it is too bad that the two police officers that shot and wounded Nidal Hasan did not shoot him dead. Since this will be a military court martial, who knows when Nidal Hasan will have his day in Military court.

If ever there was a candidate for a firing squad, it is surely Major Nidal Hasan.

Budget...the Big Deficit Leadership

Shame on the Democrats and their efforts to blame Republicans for the lack of a budget for 2011.

I for one am not forgetting that instead of performing their sworn fiduciary duty in the 111th Congress, when Democrats controlled both houses, (the Senate and Congress) and the White House,  they did not make even the first effort to write, produce, or pass a budget.

The President and Democrats in the Senate and Congress are behaving like spoiled undisciplined children.
Let the government be shut down.  I am weary of all the cheap theatrics and lies from the left side of the aisle.

This is nothing more than disgusting theatrics. The Democrats are convinced they will gain the upper hand in polls and the public's eye as a result of a puppet media who more than willingly defend Democrats manipulative antics.  Democrats think that this will be like 1995 when Gingrich was speaker.  The Democrats could have passed any budget they wanted to in 2010, and like Obamacare Republicans would have had no way to stop Democrats.  Democrats had majorities in both houses.  Democrats have set up the right side of the aisle to punish them for winning an election.

To bad for Democrats that there are actually voters who have both read the Constitution and who have an expectation that our elected representatives should follow the law.

Who is kidding who...$61 Billion is barely a drop of sound reasoning in an ocean of over a 1 Trillion Dollar Budget.

It is well past time for Democrats to wake up and address a bloated too large government.  Nothing on Capitol Hill can be considered a serious discussion until both sides of the aisle start closing many unnecessary government agencies and departments and duplications of service.

How less than serious.  No wonder our nation has since the Obama election become the laughing stock of the world.

Even a 5 year old understands how much he can get for a dollar.

Kinetic Post Modern Ouija Board Diplomacy & Politcal Theatre of the Absurd

Once again in Libya like Afghanistan with the mujaheddin we are contemplating arming those who are more than likely our enemies. Who exactly are we helping and protecting, and who is in command and control of our troops?

This administration's policy in Libya is more than a few days late and short of an organized coalition has our allies in some cases on different pages than the United States and less than clear or willing to make the contributions as promised.

At this point one could argue it might be a credible exercise to fire every analyst and bureaucrat in the State Department writing policy and cleaning house at the NSA, NIE and the CIA.

It is fair to say these agencies appear to be wasting our money. When was the last time they were right? Given their track record a Ouija board, or a pin the tail on the donkey game or dart board would be as effective in determining who to arm or who is a reliable partner worthy of our investment of foreign aid dollars.

So far we have fired 170 tomahawks  at Gaddafi's forces, well near a 100 million dollars in missiles alone. That money hasn't bought very much peace or protection for Libyan citizens, or earned us any allies.

Both Democrats and Republicans alike are miffed and unhappy with how the Administration has handled the decision to use military force in Libya, and many  Congressmen are questioning the Constitutionality of the administrations choices for this action.

The Obama Administration is still in the unbelievable process of sorting out just who should be the front man  for the United States at NATO.   John Bolton in this interview said,  "...I do think there's a lingering problem here that could get worse. And that is, his willingness to allow Americans to be put under foreign command. Really, not since World War I, America's first entry under the European stage have we been under the ultimate command of foreigners. We've had interwoven commands in other battles. But he has very casually said, foreigners are going to command this in the next few days. I think that is something Congress ought to debate. I don't think there's a Constitutional issue here but I think there's a real issue of national security in putting our young men and women under foreign command."

It is more than obvious critical thinking is not emanating from either the Obama Administration, the Department of State or the NSA and CIA. Or the other more likely deduction is that the Obama Administration is so busy promoting their Post American Policy they refuse even the most obvious facts.  Facts that do not fit Obama's vile and apologetic vision of America and the World.

On Monday Obama is supposed to address  to the United States, and explain his policy.

Looks like the Obama Administration has a very bad case of Ready, Fire, Aim.

I think I look pretty good for an old broad.

Not much of a blog today but I thought I should mark that I have reached a Beatles' milestone, Mr. OK, my most wonderful hubby says that he still loves me the same as he ever did.

A Government Too Big for Our Wallets

Our government is so big we have no idea how many programs we are paying for that duplicate one another.

I do not care what the position is, police firemen what ever there should be not one federally employed union worker.

One of our primary objectives as Tax payers should be to insure that there is no duplication of programs from the local to the Federal level. If my community can do it there should be no matching grants.

This is one of the ways we gotten into so much financial trouble.

If my community can do it and pay for the service my county should not.  If my county provides the service my State should not and if my State provides the service the federal government should not.

If there is some service I think that my community or state should pay for but do not and I feel strongly that I need to have that program or service I should seek out the community that provides it and move there and support their tax system.

Better yet I should find a away to pay for it myself instead of expecting my neighbors to pay my freight.

It takes a village of idiots thinking that they deserve to be coddled from the cradle to the grave by a government to wreak this sort of financial havoc.

The sad thing is we are supporting a good chunk of the world this way and since our ability to export goods and services is crippled by tariffs and taxes by our 'partner nations' it is going to be a long and painful process to straighten out our national financial nightmare. We no longer make things, and our labor force with the jobs (now overseas) that supported the lunacy of care taking the entire world has been shifted off shore.

Soon there may not even be any executive jobs at McDonald's.

Better buy a wheel barrow while you can.

No Justice 'Hole'der Deep Sixes The USS Cole Al Nashiri Trial

On October 12, 2000 theUSS Cole (DDG 67) an Arleigh Burke class destroyer was the target of a terrorist attack in the port of Aden, Yemen, during a scheduled refueling. The attack killed 17 crew members and injured 39 others.

As the 10th Anniversary of the attack on the USS Cole approaches, the Obama administration continues to drag their feet to bring Abd al-Rahim al Nashiri to justice. They have broken solemn promises made to the survivors and crewmates of the USS Cole, and have disregarded US law.

Explanations of the delay are clouded in a haze of no comments, a muttered muddled agenda towards Terrorism that has no rationale and the case has been placed on hold. We are left to ponder what was the reasoning, was it sympathy, appeasement, arrogance or total incompetancy.

Under the leadership of President Obama, and his Justice Department led by Attorney General Eric Holder justice has suffered another black eye. They have once again shown this administrations continuing contempt and an intent to disregard their sworn duty by their unwillingess to confront the Act of War and murder commited by Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, and refusal to either set a date or bring Nashiri to trial before a Military Commission.

Nashiri is a Saudi national al Qaeda operative (what a surprise) who masterminded the bombing attack using a high-explosive powerful enough to rip a large hole (as shown in the picture below) -- 40 feet by 60 feet flooding the main engine spaces of the Cole in the Yemeni port of Aden.

A Guantanamo tribunal was ready to arraign him in 2009, but the Obama administration put the trial on hold, and since they took office, there has been delay after delay, and No trial -- No Justice.

And nearly 10 years later just this last week the White House has inexplicably deep sixed the prosecution.

A remembrance with pictures and the names and ranks of the brave young men and women who proudly served and died on the USS Cole in the attack that day are listed along with their pictures below.

Chief Petty Officer Richard Costelow, Morrisville, Pennsylvania.
Signalman Seaman Recruit Cheron Luis Gunn, Rex, Georgia.
Seaman James Rodrick McDaniels, Norfolk, Virginia.
Seaman Recruit Lakiba Nicole Palmer, San Diego, California.
Operations Specialist 2nd Class Timothy Lamont Saunders, Ringgold, Virginia.
Ensign Andrew Triplett, Macon, Mississippi.
Seaman Apprentice Craig Bryan Wibberley, Williamsport, Maryland.
Fireman Gary Graham Swenchonis Jr., Rockport, Texas
Hull Maintenance Technician 3rd Class, Kenneth Eugene Clodfelter, Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Mess Management Specialist Seaman Lakeina Monique Francis, Woodleaf, North Carolina.
Information Systems Technician Seaman Timothy Lee Gauna, Rice, Texas
Engineman 2nd Class Mark Ian Nieto, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Electronics Warfare Technician 3rd Class Ronald Scott Owens, Vero Beach, Florida.
Engineman Fireman Joshua Langdon Parlett, Churchville, Maryland.
Fireman Apprentice Patrick Howard Roy, Cornwall on Hudson, New York.
Electronics Warfare Technician 2nd Class Kevin Shawn Rux, Portland, North Dakota.
Mess Management Specialist 3rd Class Ronchester Mananga Santiago, Kingsville, Texas

Jennifer Rubin says in this article at Contentions, http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/rubin/348626

..."The Obama administration has shelved the planned prosecution of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the alleged coordinator of the Oct. 2000 suicide attack on the USS Cole in Yemen, according to a court filing.

The decision at least temporarily scuttles what was supposed to be the signature trial of a major al-Qaeda figure under a reformed system of military commissions. And it comes practically on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the attack, which killed 17 sailors and wounded dozens when a boat packed with explosives ripped a hole in the side of the warship in the port of Aden.

What’s the problem?

Military officials said a team of prosecutors in the Nashiri case has been ready go to trial for some time. And several months ago, military officials seemed confident that Nashiri would be arraigned this summer.

“It’s politics at this point,” said one military official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss policy. He said he thinks the administration does not want to proceed against a high-value detainee without some prospect of civilian trials for other major figures at Guantanamo Bay.

Pretty unconscionable stuff, isn’t it? And a final decision on KSM has also been delayed, it is widely assumed, so that the administration need not disclose its intentions before the election. In an administration with plenty of both, this ranks near the top when it comes to hypocrisy and politicizing the administration of justice."

Exactly! What is the problem Mr. President, why the delay?

A video of USS Cole Commander Lippold livid over Obama's Suspension of Bomber's Trial can be found here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUyLk3b5A08&feature=player_embedded

The following was reported in an article at the New York times when President Obama met with the families of both the 9/11 attacks and the families from the USS Cole. In February of 2009, he promised them justice, http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/02/06/obama-meets-with-family-members-of-uss-cole-911-victims/

..."President Obama on Friday assured family members of Americans who were killed in the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole and in the Sept. 11 attacks that the terror suspects will be prosecuted and brought “to a swift and certain justice.”

Mr. Obama met for more than an hour with about 40 relatives of terror victims during an emotional afternoon session in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building near the White House. He explained his rationale for ordering the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to be closed within a year, but pledged that the terror cases would be reviewed and handled through the courts."

In a far cry from President Obama's promise, according to this link, I believe it will be a cold day in hades before this murderer is brought to trial and the families and crew recieve any justice from their government.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2010/08/us-halts-prosecution-of-al-qaeda-suspect-in-uss-cole-attack/1 ..."The Justice Department said this week in a filing with the U.S. Court of Appeals for D.C. that "no charges are either pending or contemplated ... in the near future" against 45-year-old Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, who has been held at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp. He was captured in the United Arab Emirates in November 2002 and turned over to the CIA."

This is beyond an outrage.

Is this yet another example of the Obama's famous quote of "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." What of the promises President Obama made to the families and friends and members of the Crew of the USS Cole who have patiently waited nearly 10 years with no sign of justice for the Act of War and murder.

Or is it just yet another disgusting political manuever prior to the upcoming elections, as some have said in linked articles, a ploy to satisfy and appease the nut cases on the far left who insist that Guantanomo be closed or is it another example of Holder's and Obama's lunacy to force a trial of this murderous cretin in an American court.

It is said that Al Nashiri was waterboarded and had a machine gun pointed at him by the CIA. Wow! How awful, poor baby! One can only draw the conclusion that is awful if you suffer from a serious case of moral equivalency, a syndrome this administration has shown that they are infected with again and again and again.

Only appeasers and supporters of Islamofascism can support the delay of swift and deadly justice for this vermin. Al Nashiri should have had his day in court and been condemned to die by a firing squad long ago.

Both President Obama and Eric Holder have once again shown contempt for this nation and have failed to uphold their sworn duties as President and Attorney General.

When the USS Cole was repaired a blue tile floor was added to a passageway in the Cole. And 17 stars were laid, each to represent a sailor lost on another sad day of infamy for this Republic, October 12, 2000, in the attack by a small boat, acting as part of the docking tenders laden with explosives that blew a hole in the warship in the Yemeni port of Aden. There is a box containing debris that has been mounted on a bulkhead in the mess deck, debris from the attack on the World Trade Center from September 11, 2001, Al Queda terrorist attacks on America. The remnants, were presented by the Port Authority of New York, and are composed of metal, marble and glass from the destroyed World Trade Center. A most fitting tribute.

Moolah for Mullahs, The Shovel Ready Mosque Initiative

I bet most Americans are unaware of this shovel ready dhimmitude, where millions of US taxpayers dollars have been spent restoring mosques and religious 'cultural heritage' sites, worldwide (other than Christian or Jewish ones) in 'outreach programs' in states that sponsor terrorist and grow jihadis.

Under the direction of two Administrations those of both G. W. Bush and B. H. Obama, our government has engaged in the Constitutionally questionable activity of repairing and restoring mosques and other religious 'cultural heritage' sites worldwide.

This misguided foreign policy political correctness has us waging war, while appeasing and playing at peace with states who harbor bases for terrorist at the same time. This schizophrenic bipolar practice has been employed by both Administrations, and also approved in budgets from both legislative branches, and signed into law by both of these Presidents. Under the executive leadership of both the 43rd and 44th President, the Department of State has implemented this Catch 22 program through the auspices of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to spend millions reconstructing and financing multiple mosques in Cairo and Cyprus, Somalia and Indonesia (just a few of the states on the USAID list) as well as providing computers for imams in Tajikistan and Mali.

Further our troops are engaged in this activity in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Which Congressmen and Senators supported this nonsense for lunatic spending? When was the directive and mission of USAID changed to be a religious outreach program, and why are we restoring these facilities in states who have bases for and support Al Queda? USAID's original mandate was to provide medicines and food.

Here are some pictures from the USAID website with some of the pictures including before and after indicating the disrepair their own countries and faithful have allowed to occur,
showing how both your and my tax dollars have been spent:

Our elected officials have become so infected with political correctness on both sides of the aisle that they have become completely incapable making sound decisions.

We have troops on the ground at war with crippling rules of engagement, in some of these countries and at the same time we are repairing sanctuaries in localities that engage in supporting these un-uniformed proxy terrorist. It is hard to rationally juxtapose this 'cultural heritage' outreach in locales for mosques that give both sanctuary, and comfort to known terrorist organizations identified by our government. In some instances we are doing this 'cultural restoration' in states who actively sponsor the presence of these proxy enemies and have also routinely displayed outspoken hostile intent towards the United States. Worse still we are doing these 'cultural heritage' restorations without these states disavowing the enemy they allow on their soil, and and prior to either a truce or surrender.

Both the Marshall Plan to rebuild and stabilize Europe and the plan to also rebuild and stabilize Japan made sense, and were implemented after our adversaries had surrendered.

Clearly this is a Catch 22 of lunacy.

Where are the usual dependable outcries from those on the left who have near apoplectic fits in their outcry for separation of church and state when it comes to the Judeo Christian tenets upon which this nation was founded? Their silence is deafening.

Why we are underwriting the restoration of mosques in other nations any where on this planet?

No wonder we are in a quagmire, it has been created by these dicotomies of policy.
